Terms and Conditions
Glamping

Minimum of 2 nights stay in all glamping accommodation

Check in is from 3pm. For arrivals after 8pm please contact us in advance

Check out is by 10.30am on your day of departure. Late check out only by prior arrangement and agreement. Please contact us in advance

Bookings can only be made by adults. Under 18s as part of any booking must be accompanied by their parents / legal guardians
Camping
-
Caravans and trailers are not permitted, sorry
-
Maximum of one tent and one small "pup" tent per pitch
-
Campervans up to 6 metres in length are allowed. Campervans can stay on a grass pitch. Please note, we are a grass site with grass tracks. When the weather has recently been poor, or is at the time poor, please make an assessment of the pitch and access to ensure you can enter, park and leave your pitch without getting stuck. Whilst we will offer help, we do not accept liability for campervans becoming stuck

Cars are to be parked in the designated parking area, save for unloading

Maximum of 2 adults and 4 children per pitch

Group bookings

Maximum of 6 adults in a group (regardless of whether bookings are made together or individually)

No stag or hen parties

We reserve the right to cancel group bookings or ask guests to leave the site without refund if they fail to disclose group gatherings to us in advance. This is for the enjoyment of all site users. Please call us to discuss before booking to avoid any disappointment
Dogs
-
Well behaved dogs on leads welcome when camping
-
Bluebell is dog-friendly. Dogs are not allowed in Foxglove or Yarrow

Dogs are not allowed in the facilities building
Cancellations
-
Cancellations made 28 days or more before the first day of the booked stay are entitled to a refund of 80% of the total booking price. Cancellations between 28 and 14 days before the commencement of the booked stay are entitled to a refund of 50% of the total booking price. No refund is available for cancellations less than 14 days before the commencement of the booked stay.

When only a deposit has been paid and a cancellation is made, the deposit is non-refundable

In the event that we, Knowle Meadow Camping, at our discretion, offer alternative dates instead of a refund (for cancellation) and these dates are accepted by the guest, the new dates agreed upon are non-transferable and in the event that cancellation of the new dates is subsequently sought, no refund is available
To ensure everyone enjoys their stay

Noise after 10pm to be kept to a minimum. Please respect our neighbours, human and animal

We do not allow radios, stereos or other sound systems. Noisy visitors who disturb other guests will be asked politely to leave, without a refund.

Only guests on the booking are permitted on site
-
All the undercover facilities are strictly NO SMOKING – including barn area, toilets, glamping, and washing-up area. If you smoke, please do so outside and dispose of your cigarette ends in the ash bin.
Log burners, stoves and fire pits

Please be attentive and responsible with all fires
-
Any BBQ or fire pit must be raised from the ground, to protect our meadow and grasses
-
Guests must appoint a competent individual, who isn’t under the influence of alcohol or drugs, to be responsible for the safe use and extinguishing of the fire/stove/fire pit

Once lit, the fire must not be left unattended for any length of time
-
Only use seasoned wood provided or purchased in our shop, or otherwise kiln dried wood purchased from a reputable supplier. No foraging or burning of “found wood” on the campsite or surrounding areas. The use of pallets/waste wood is not permitted. Using unseasoned wood can cause damage to the stove and/or excessive smoke

The use of the fire and/or cooking on the stove or fire pit, is at your own risk

Never leave children unattended with a fire

Ensure the fire has gone out / been extinguished before it is left unattended
-
Do not move the fire pits provided with glamping accommodation from their location
-
If using a fire pit when camping, ensure it is suitably located away from any tent / property and is not near or within the long grass or meadow
Hot tub (provided with Yarrow only)

In addition to the above terms relating to the use of stoves: Always stir the water in the hot tub with the paddle before entering, in addition to carrying out a temperature check using the thermometer provided. The recommended temperature is 37.5 degrees. Do not enter the hot tub if above 40 degrees; leave the lids off and wait for the water to cool

No glass to be used in or around the hot tub. Please use the plastic glasses provided

No drugs, vaping or smoking in the hot tub

Consumption of alcohol in the hot tub is a hazardous practice, and can cause drowsiness and lead to drowning. Guests are advised to limit drinking alcohol in the tub

Always take care when entering and exiting the hot tub

Never use electric devices in or near the hot tub
-
Pregnant women should avoid submerging their stomachs in a hot tub as the temperature is far too hot for the foetus. If you have heart disease, high blood pressure, other cardiovascular conditions or diabetes you should check with your doctor before using a hot tub

Exit immediately if you see lightning and take shelter

We accept no responsibility for any reactions or illness you experience following use of the hot tub

Any direct damage caused to the hot tub should be reported to the owners immediately and will have to be charged
Sauna
-
Ensure you are suitably hydrated before, during and after use
-
Do not use the sauna if you run any medical risk by so doing (for example, if you suffer from any heart disease, circulatory problems, high or low blood pressure, epilepsy, asthma or breathing conditions; have any joint or muscle injury; take any medication; have had a heart attack or stroke; or are pregnant). This list of medical conditions is not exhaustive. If in any doubt, seek medical advice prior to entering the sauna

Children under the age of 16 are not permitted. Children 16 or older must be accompanied by a responsible adult

Take care when adding water to the stones. The stones and heater are extremely hot and must not be touched under any circumstances

Do not attempt to open the log burning stove or place any logs into the burner
Damages and breakages

Please report any damage or breakages as soon as possible to the owners

Any damage to accommodation, facilities, contents, or grass/surrounding area may be charged for, at the owners’ discretion. We reserve the right to charge damages to the credit/debit card given on booking
Site closure
-
Knowle Meadow Camping reserves the right to cancel a camping / glamping stay at short notice if we are unable to provide safe accommodation or camping environment due to adverse weather conditions or other exceptional event / circumstances beyond our control. In circumstances where Knowle Meadow Camping closes, stays on alternative dates (of same pricing) or a refund will be offered
Property, possessions and injury

Knowle Meadow takes no responsibility for loss of or damage to guests' property or possessions

Knowle Meadow accepts no responsibility for injury incurred on-site. Parents are responsible for the supervision of their children on-site at all times

Insurance

Guests are advised to obtain their own holiday insurance (to cover possessions and cancellation, where appropriate)

Additional
-
Petrol/diesel generators are not allowed
-
Fireworks are not permitted
-
Failure to comply with these terms and conditions will make you liable to lose your booking or your right to stay without refund
